Incorporating an edge-welded metal bellows seal head, the PZ05D and PZ05DP dual seal configurations are designed with reverse balance in both the primary and mating rings. This allows the seals to accommodate ID and OD pressurization, enabling them to function as either a tandem or double seal while ensuring positive face closing forces during pressure reversals. The OD pressurization of the outboard seal reduces tensile stress on components, improves cooling efficiency, and facilitates the venting of entrapped air, especially in vertical installations.
