Expanded PTFE Sheet Gasket for Semiconductor Fabs and Data Center Mechanical Systems
TF Seals USA has added TF-S280 expanded PTFE sheet gasket to its packing and gasket line — a 100% expanded PTFE material with multidirectional strength, developed for cut-gasket fabrication where chemical resistance and flange sealability matter more than raw compressive strength.
Why semiconductor fabs use expanded PTFE
Fabs run aggressive chemistry through their piping: acids, solvents, slurries, and ultrapure water that will leach contaminants out of the wrong gasket material. Expanded PTFE resists effectively every process chemical except fluorine, and because it is inert it does not shed into the fluid stream. TF-S280 tests to ASTM F37B sealability of 0.17 mℓ/hr on nitrogen and >45% compressibility under ASTM F36, so it conforms into imperfect flange faces and fills wide gaps — common on large-diameter FRP and lined piping runs.
